A Message from the President

These are crazy and unprecedented times. Our industry is taking a beating and I know that not one of us will get by unscathed. I hope that, as an industry, we can return to the work we are all passionate about – planning face to face events – as soon as possible. And that, as individuals, we can recover and find new opportunities in the chaos, whatever that may look like for our families, our careers and our livelihood.
Our chapter has halted our regular programming and decided that now is not the right time to try to take our normal programming virtual.

United We Brunch, Monthly Video Chat for Members and Guests

We believe that we can offer more value right now by supporting our members in less formal way. We’re initiating monthly “Brunch Talks” – Video chats, where members and guests from around the region can connect with each other and with our chapter board members. We will share stories and ideas, pick each other’s brains about relevant topics such as virtual events, or dealing with cancellation clauses. Whatever is on your mind, we’d love to hear from you. There will not be a formal agenda, we’ll set the tone and discussion based on what the group is most interested in. We’ll evolve the concept as we go, again based on feedback from participants.
The first one is schedule for Tuesday, June 16 at 11:00am. To part take please register below, no cost to you at all. Just a few easy questions so we may get you the necessary info to join the video chat. If you don’t get the email after registering with this information please reach out to us at [email protected].

Leadership Program Still on Track for 2021

As a chapter, we are also continuing to develop our all new, small cohort, leadership program, scheduled to launch in the spring of 2021. We are partnering with Dr. Andrea Luoma to develop the content and a format that enables participants to stay connected throughout the year, to practice and to share the results of what they are learning. Our goal is create a forum that enables participants to take theory and put it into action. Our industry needs leader now more than ever. Stay tuned for more information as we develop our concept.
