More than a Meeting: Turn Your Event into a Movement

Changes in behavior, habit and attitudes are causing a dramatic shift in what your participants nee and want from events. In this session, Greg Bogue will explore the hierarchy of human gatherings, as he showcases how events are evolving from staged experiences to passion-filled and purposeful movements. Through stories and activities, participants will examine how today’s most successful events deliver richer experiences, built on a much stronger and sustainable foundation – personal values.

Learner Outcomes: Identify three key differences between staged experiences and movements; Explain why the era of “blind” attendance is ending and how personal values will impact decisions to attend you events in the future; Describe how a concise Organizing Principle drives better design decisions and investments.

Greg Bogue, CMP

Greg Bogue is focused on improving on improving the guest experience in meetings, events, and incentive travel programs to create better value for both organizations and their guests. He is creative catalyst who can quickly synthesize a message and help organizations deliver to their guests at a higher level.

Bogue was awarded the prestigious Experience Management Achievement Award by Strategic Horizons LLP for his significant contributions in creating experience offerings. In 2015 Bogue was honored as one of the 25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry by Successful Meetings Magazine and most recently Bogue was named a 2017 Changemaker by MeetingsNet.
