Chapter News

Mid Year Message From Our President

As we enter the 2nd half of 2018, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the success we have had so far this year. Our chapter has produced 3 great events including our 1st annual Hospitality Symposium which was a huge success. Additionally, our chapter membership has held steady this year, but we have seen a slight increase in our Business Event Professional membership, which is so important to the health of our chapter overall. And finally, our communications team has produced a wonderful new blog which I encourage you all to check out on a regular basis.

We have 2 final events this year that I’m very excited about. The first is our 25th Anniversary Celebration and Education Program. It will be held at MoPop on October 10. We hope everyone will be able to attend and celebrate this milestone anniversary. Also, be sure join us on November 7, at our annual Bid and Putt Invitational at FlatStick Pub South Lake Union. This event will feature some fun auction items as well as a mini-golf competition.

I have one call to action for all of our members – consider volunteering! We need volunteers who are interested in giving some of their time to being part of making this chapter the best it can be. If you are interested, please email me at [email protected].

Finally, I would like to thank our board and committee members for their tireless efforts to make our chapter a success. If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t have all these different events and networking opportunities for you to connect with your peers. It has been a crazy year for me personally and I am so thankful for the support of everyone in our chapter. I know my last few months as your president will be amazing.
