PCMA PNW Chapter New Member Highlight
Nicola Alevizos, Account Manager
What was your first job?
When I was in high school, I attended art shows with my father and helped sell his art. I also
worked in a deli and sold fabric wall hangings; all the rage at the time. My first job in the
industry was booking entertainment for corporate events in San Francisco.
How did you get to your current position?
A mutual friend introduced Stuart Butler and I when the US Open Golf Championship was in
Washington State at Chamber’s Bay; Stuart had a lot of clients heading down to the tournament
needing transportation. I came onboard to assist with keeping that organized. Five years later, I
am still with Butler. My current position as Account Manager focuses on transportation sales
and solutions for our corporate clients.
What advice do you have for other professionals in the industry?
To be true and honest, upfront and straightforward. Don’t be afraid to ask. Always remain
Why did you join PCMA?
I know a number of members who have been active for a long time and they always speak
highly of the organization; it seemed like a good fit for education and networking. I really
enjoyed my first meeting at the Space Needle.
What do you do on the weekends/free time?
At this time of year (Spring), I spend quite a bit of time in my garden, keeping it from taking
over. I enjoy growing vegetables in the summer and have just planted a new flower bed.
Like many, I enjoy time with friends, dinners and movies.
Recently, I started paddle boarding which I really love. I sing and perform with the Seattle
Women’s Chorus. This is a lively and fun group. I highly recommend catching a show; the next
one is “Legends of Rock” on April 28th, 2019 at Benaroya Hall.
What is on your 2019 Bucket List?
This is the first summer I do not have to be a “baseball mom”, so I’m hoping to spend a few
more weekends exploring our beautiful area – Staycations!
