In 2018, PCMA PNW Chapter celebrated their 25th Anniversary with a toast on October 10th which included a few inaugural Board Members in attendance. The PNW Chapter of PCMA, representing members from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, and Montana, is dedicated to serving the meetings and event professionals with continuing education and community service. While not the largest chapter of PCMA, they are certainly the most tenacious; starting with those individuals who represented the inaugural board. They have produced many leaders, created exciting new programs and utilized technology to better serve their members.

This is my final month as President of the Pacific Northwest chapter and I have been reflecting on all the wonderful events the chapter has hosted this year and the many successes. I hope you were able to attend at least one event this year and had at least one takeaway. My hope is that you were able to apply this takeaway personally & professionally.

Dollars are being spent on events! Lots and lots of dollars. Attendees are paying for access to valuable information to be more successful, to enrich their lives, and to increase their education. Clients are paying to create opportunity and experience for attendees. Don’t let a roll of the dice dictate ROI for the attendee or the client.

Mid Year Message From Our President

As we enter the 2nd half of 2018, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the success we have had so far this year. Our chapter has produced 3 great events including our 1st annual Hospitality Symposium which was a huge success. Additionally, our chapter membership has held steady this year, but we have seen a slight increase in our Business Event Professional membership, which is so important to the health of our chapter overall. And finally, our communications team has produced a wonderful new blog which I encourage you all to check out on a regular basis.

Bid and Putt Call for Donations

Call for Donations the PNW Chapter of PCMA for our Bid and Putt Invitational, which will be on November 7th from 4:30pm-7:30pm at FlatStick Pub South Lake Union in Seattle is our chapter’s largest fundraiser of the year. Every contribution to and participation in the auction is what makes the event a success. All featured auction donors will be supporting the cause as well as gaining exposure for your business. Your company name will be on program signage at the event and leading up to the event and your company will be highlighted in an email to all attendees following the event that will thank our sponsors/donors.
